5 reasons why Super Eagles will win on Saturday, November 12

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will on Saturday, November 12 face Algeria in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

These are five reasons why the Super Eagles will come tops in the tough encounter to be played at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo.

1. Mahrez in poor form

Algeria’s main man is Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez who has been in poor form this so far this season. Mahrez has been a bargain for Leicester City, helping them to win the Premier League title in the 2015/2016 season. For that feat, he won thePFA Player of the Year. This season, however, the Algeria international is yet to hit top form as Leicester City continue to struggle in the league. The Super Eagles will be hoping Mahrez continues with his poor form.
2. Victor Moses

Chelsea wing-back Victor Moses has been one of the best players in the Premier League this season. Moses has finally found a place at Chelsea under Antonio Conte, impressing in the right wing-back position with his defensive and offensive abilities. Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr will be hoping Moses continues with his good form in Uyo.
3. Iheanacho and Iwobi

Kelechi Iheanacho and Alex Iwobi scored for the Super Eagles in their 2-1 win over Zambia in the opening round and both stars remain in top form to help Nigeria to another victory. With Iwobi operating from the left and Iheanacho anywhere the opposition goal, the Super Eagles are sure of another victory.
4. Gernot Rohr

New Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr is another factor why a victory is certain for Nigeria. Under the German coach, the Super Eagles have become a more compact unit. Although the defence is still a worry, Rohr can tactically tweak the team to make them difficult to beat.
5. Injury crisis in Algeria team

Algeria have been dealt a huge blow ahead of the clash with left-back  Faouzi Ghoulam, forward  Hilal Soudani, attacking midfielder Ryad Boudebouz  and  midfielder Rachid Ghezzal all injured and out of the team. These injuries will sure make them weaker for a Super Eagles win.
