D'banj and Wande Coal perform together on same stage since D'banj parted ways with the Mo'hits label in 2012 and Wande leaving Mavin Records in 2013.

They share the stage on Sunday October 2, 2016 at the 20th anniversary event of Tee A comedian who was celebrating 20 years of stand-up comedy.
The dinner concert was held at the Intercontinental Hotel Lagos where the former Mo'hits singers graced the occasion for the  comedian performing their group song 'Close to you' off the Mo'hits compilation album "Curriculum Vitae" released in 2007 and boasts of other classic hit singles such as 'Pere', 'Why me' remix, 'Ololufe', 'Booty call' and 'Move your body'.

Since leaving Mo'hits, both singers have gone on to have relative successes.
Following his "Mushin to Mo'hits" album released under the Mo'hits label and the fallout between record label Executives Don Jazzy and D'banj, in 2012, Wande Coal, Dr Sid and D'Prince signed on to Don Jazzy's new Record Label Mavin Records with the addition of Tiwa Savage from 323 entertainment assuming the position of first lady at Mavin records.
Wande Coal eventually left Mavin Records in 2013 which saw him release his sophomore album "Wanted" in 2015 under self owned Black Diamond Entertainment which was rated hot byJoey Akan of Pulse Nigeria.

D'banj on the other hand joined forces with Kanye West's ''G.O.O.D" music label, seeking for international exposure, which Don Jazzy did not totally sign up to, although he equally signed to the label with D'banj.

The pair got signed to the label in 2011 but saw D'banj not releasing a body of work under the label. He officially was announced as not being under the label in a tweet by the G.O.O.D music label.
D'banj released three album under Mo'hits - "No Long Thing" (2005), "Rundown Funk U Up" (2006) and "The Entertainer" (2008).

In 2013, in association with Sony Music RCA Records  whom he signed a management deal, own label DB Records and G.O.O.D Music,  the singer dropped a compilation album titled "D'Kings Men" featuring DB records artists which housed singles including the World acclaimed hit 'Oliver twist', 'Endowed' remix, 'Top of the world' and 'Don't tell me nonsense' among others.
D'banj had been working on the album before his split and saw Don Jazzy co-produce on the album alongside DeeVee and JaySleek.
The album featured international acts like Kanye West, Big Sean, Pusha T, Snoop Lion, Fally Ipupa as well as home grown acts such as Olamide and Naeto C.
In 2016, Wande Coal and D'banj have been relatively active. D'banj is working on releasing a fourth studio album this year 2016 after 11 years in the music industry, having already three studio albums, two compilation albums, and an EP.
“I have my album ready and in the next few weeks, I would be releasing two songs; one features Phyno while the other is with the legendary DJ Oskido from South Africa."  D’banj  revealedon September 3, 2016.
The 'Kokomaster' has released a number of singles backing up his statement such as the buzzing 'Emergency' and 'Superstar'.

Wande on the other hand has been relatively quiet after he dropped a video for 'Superwoman' off the "Wanted" album.
The singers however coming together will bring a lot of nostalgic memories for fans and the artists themselves, and makes even stronger the statement credited to Wande Coal some time back that he and D'banj would make a record together some time in the future.
