R&B singer, Justin Bieber has become a subject of an online backlash after he reportedly walked out of a concert held at the Manchester Arena, United Kingdom.
According to reports, the singer had told the crowd during hisPurpose World Tour performance to keep their screams down, but they booed him in response.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Bieber said this to the crowd:
"You can scream as much as you want afterwards but while I'm singing try and stay quiet."
Boos from the crowd followed this comment which made the singer walk out of the stage possibly out of frustration.
He later came back to the stage to explain why he wanted to interact with his fans.
"I just thought I could have a moment to say something. I can cut [it] if you want,
"I'm trying to engage but if you guys don't want to, I'll play the music", he said.
Apart from the loud boos from the crowd, some Twitter users lashed at him on their various accounts.
A user with the handle @johncarlin15 wrote, "I can confirm Justin bieber got booed off the stage at Manchester due to him complaining about crowd screaming. What an absolute tool."
Another with the handle @KatysPrismLight said, "Justin Bieber throwing a paddy onstage in Manchester LMAO just cause an ARENA of 22,000 people won't be silent, he's a joke."
British journalist, Piers Morgan also joined in the rant with an advice for the singer.
Morgan wrote, "Hey Justin Bieber, stop acting like a spoilt kid, sing more, preach less & respect your fans."
