A 42-year-old Nigerian man has been arraigned before the Springs Magistrate's Court in Ekurhuleni, South Africa on Monday, May 22, for human trafficking.

reports that four teenagers who had been kidnapped were reportedly kept
as sex slaves at the suspect home on the East Rand in Springs on
Friday, May 19.
According to the reports, drugs and pornographic materials were also seized at his residence.
Police Spokesperson, Thivhulaw Tshilat, while confirming the arrest said they had been working on tip-off from members of the community.
"Upon
inquiries what are they doing there was no satisfactory explanation,
42-year-old Nigerian national was found, the house owner what are the
children doing there, he couldn’t explain and it showed there was an
unusual activity happening in the house and [we] searched the house," He said.
The police appealed to parents, urging to always know the whereabouts of their children.
eNCA reports that some of the teenagers are from Balfour in Mpumalanga and one is from KwaThema near Springs.
They have reportedly been taken to a shelter in Benoni.
