Chelsea star Victor Moses along with his teammates have paid tribute to the victims of the attack that happened at Manchester Arena on Monday, May 22.
22 people including children died from the terror attack that happened just after pop act Ariana Grande had finished performing at her concert.
Moses and his Chelsea
teammates gathered in a circle and bowed their heads for a one-minute
silence at their Cobham Training Centre before training on Tuesday.
Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho also reacted to the tragic incident tweeting: “Sad news in Manchester, my prayers are with the family and everyone involved.”
The football world has reacted to the incident with a host of clubs sending out their condolence messages.
Manchester United players also held a one-minute silence for the victims before training ahead of their Europa League final against Ajax on Wednesday, May 22.
“We're all very sad about the tragic events last night; we can't take out of our minds and hearts the victims and their families,” Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho said.
“We
have a job to do and will fly to Sweden to do that job. It's a pity we
cannot fly with the happiness we always have before a big game.
“I know, even during my short time here, that the people of Manchester will pull together as one.”
United have asked UEFA for permission to wear black armbands for their meeting with Ajax.
The FA Have also confirmed that they will be additional security measures for the FA Cup final on Saturday, May 27 between Arsenal and Chelsea.
